The Augill Academy of Food & Hospitality

At Enjoy England's Guest Accommodation of the Year

We have teamed up with some inspirational figures to establish an academy in how to set up an accommodation business, how to make it a success and how to raise the bar.

We have also launched a cookery school for budding masterchefs to cook food that their guests will want to pay for (whether or not you ask them to).

"These guys know about food and it shows"

How to set up and run your own guest accommodation business

We don't pretend to be perfect and definitely don't know everything about how to run a hotel or bed & breakfast! But between us we have a wealth of knowledge, success (and mistakes to learn from) and plenty of tales to tell which together could be all you need to know to

  • Decide if a life as your own boss in hospitality is the right for you

  • Once you've made that decision, how to make the best of it

Courses are residential over two days (one night) for a maximum of twelve people so there is ample time to discuss individual requirement and concerns as well as plenty of 'downtime' to immerse yourself in your surroundings.

Cookery courses to bring restaurant food into your own kitchen

Whether you want to cook for paying guests, impress your friends or just know how to recreate a favourite restaurant dish, we can inpire you and equip you with the new skills to make it happen.

Inspired by the success of our children's cookery school, Little Augill Cooks and our passion for the best ingredients cooked simply but with flair, we have designed a series of short courses in our bespoke castle  kitchens.

Each course has a maximum of six places so is very hands-on with lots of one-to-one tuition.

One day courses will start at £95 (depending on the subject and ingredients involved) to include tuition in small groups, lots of hands-on expereince, all your ingredients, lunch & refreshments.
