The Augill Academy

Fun and useful things you didn't learn at school...

Our community involvment

On the back of the success of our Little Augill Cooks children's cookery school and fifteen years running the castle comes a new idea: All the things we've learnt and would like to share.

The perfect Christmas present:

Gift vouchers for the full value of an augill Academy course or in denominations of £50 can be purchased and are valid for two years.

Who will teach you:

With more than twenty five years in hospitality and journalism, Simon has a wealth of experience in the kitchen as well as at the keyboard. He is an accomplished cook, having run food & beverage departments in some of the world's top hotels as well as his own restaurant in Mayfair. Simon has written extensively about all aspects of his career, blogs and knows more than is decent about the inner workings of the internet as well as how to mix the perfect Dry Martini.

Wendy has had a similar career in hospitality and human resources. She too is an accomplished cook, being the inspiration and driving force behind the success of our Little Augill Cooks cookery school. She is also an experienced floral designer, trained at The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers and has worked with some of the country's top floral artists. Wendy also has a natural affinity for customer service and knows how to put together the perfect party.

Wendy & Simon draw on their extensive contacts to bring  in the best expertise to deliver specialist courses: Award winning chefs from Cumbria a further afield, accliamed floral artists, local craftspeople, leaders in business, hospitality management and internet gurus.
