Business Retreat: Meet at a Castle

So much more than just a meeting place

At Augill we tend to go against the grain in most things... we're known for our quirkiness and we're proud of it.

So, if you're looking for a place to escape to for inspiration, where you're not restricted by conventional schedules, numbed by the norm and disappointed by plastic biros, wilting fruit and curling sandwiches, then Augill may just be for you.

We believe that if you take your team out of the office and give them a change of scene along with some of the finer things in life, creativity will come, conversation will flow and brains will storm.

Because, whether you're an SME or a multi-national, your people are still individuals.

So here is our Augill anti-conference package - everything your usual conference is not.

Of course we can tailor your visit to your exact requirements, but here is an idea of what you can expect...

  • Arrive early evening and your team will be shown to their rooms - Egyptian cotton linens, homemade biscuits, fresh ground coffee, indulgent locally sourced toiletries and a decanter of sherry await.

  • Gather in the Music Room for chilled champagne before heading into the fabulous blue dining room for your own private dinner party. You'll enjoy four courses of the best food Cumbria has to offer and the chance to talk and relax together around one big table.

  • Next morning, after filling your boots at breakfast let your creative juices flow. You'll be uninterrupted, it will be informal and if you need to take a breather instead of 'breakout rooms' you can breakout into 15 acres of gardens or flop in front of a roaring fire.

  • When you're ready, give us the nod and we'll provide you with steaming cafetieres of fresh coffee, hot pots of tea and platefuls of homemade biscuits and cakes.

  • In the early afternoon we'll serve up a champagne tea... fresh sandwiches, lovingly made cakes, warm scones with lashings of cornish clotted cream and homemade jam. Or we can lunch if you prefer.

  • If you want to make it a two night stay, once you've worked your way 'out of the box' head to your room and relax before gathering in the library where our mixologist will be on hand to give you a cocktail masterclass over canapes before another sumptuous dinner.

Next morning, a final chance to fill up over breakfast before returning to normality.

All this for £180 per delegate per night.

  • Or why not include a course or team building event at the castle?

  • Our hugely successful cookery school easily translates in to an enjoyable team building event.

  • We've done 'Ready Steady Cook' style competitions, 'Masterchef' days, cook and eat your own supper afternoons, foraging for your supper days, cocktail masterclasses, country pursuit days, clay pigeon shooting, archery...

  • Let your imagination go wild and give your people an experience they'll never forget.

We can put you in touch with a wealth of other people and places that can make it happen too.

Courses and experiences are charged per delegate in addition to our package rate.
