So here is a truly child friendly and family friendly castle where parents can kick off their shoes and relax knowing that their children are having an equally good time. Young visitors to Augill are often adopted by our own children and are whisked off to the ‘Den’, the playground, tennis court, the fort in the forest, the treehouse, or the latest 'base' built somewhere secret.

Once the fresh air has tired them out, there is a library of videos and DVDs, a games room, toys for all ages and a whole castle complete with towers and turrets to explore. Bedrooms are big enough to comfortably take extra beds, there are DVD players, all the bathrooms and baths are big, some are enormous. |
There are our family houses, The Stable House and The Little Castle, both big enough for families of up to six, inter-connecting bedrooms, family suites or rooms big enough for extra beds without the risk of shin damage!
Cots, highchairs, baby listening, flexible eating options (all conceivable adult and children’s dietary whims are accommodated). Family rooms all come equipped with a box of books, toys and essential baby & toddler supplies as well as nappy disposal units for younger visitors.
"We have been smiling non-stop for three days. Our tummies are full, our hearts are light and happy."
The Aarons Family, August 2009
We have endless ideas of where to go and what to do throughout Cumbria, Yorkshire, Durham & Northumberland with young children.
And don't forget, there's our own 'Augill Little Cooks' children's cookery school too.
For a wealth of ideas of what to do as a family from fishing to fell walking, paint balling to paragliding, mini beasts to mini quads, visit:
