Little Augill Cooks Children's Cook School

All that's fun about cooking... in a proper kitchen... in a castle

Cook School details, prices

and dates.

What better than the chance to learn to cook in the kitchen of a real castle? This is the stuff of fairytales for children and adults alike. Your children can learn everything that's fun about food from growing it in our kitchen garden, raising it (we have chickens and pigs here) to preparing, cooking and eating it.

We may visit a local farm to see how they do things or perhaps even the local auction mart. But mainly lots of cooking proper food. And at the end of it all the chance to sit down together and share what everyone has made.

While all this is going on, parents can relax around the castle and grounds, go out for a walk, an unhurried lunch, visit the lakes or dales or just do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Courses run during the school holidays and are geared around the ages of the children attending. Bespoke courses can also be arranged for birthdays, schools or as part of a house party.

We are also introducing a new course for families giving parents and children the chance to cook together in a fun and unhurried environment. You can plan, prepare and cook a whole three course meal and then sit down at the end of it all and eat together what you've made.

Children's courses are £45 per child per day and family courses start at £140 per ay for one adult and one child.

2010 dates still available:

We are proud to sponsor and host a Let's Get Cooking Cookery Club for our local primary school. This non profit-making organisation promotes cookery skills and healthy

eating to communities through teaching children and adults who get to cook real food in a real kitchen.

Let's Get Cooking is supported by the School Food Trust, Princes Trust & Business in the Community.
