The castle isn't just for house parties and weddings!

You can enjoy the castle on your own, as a couple, as a small group or with friends & family.

• Double/twin rooms including breakfast are £80 per person.
• Interconnecting suites of two rooms £240 per night.
• Extra beds for children 2 -12 sharing adults’ room £15. 13 years + priced as adults.
• A four course set dinner on Fridays & Saturdays is £35 per person.
• Two course midweek suppers are from £20 (additional courses available)
• Children’s suppers/high tea (up to 12 years old) from £5.

November/December 2009. Any promotional offers made directly by us or in association with third party organisations must be quoted at the time of booking and are strictly subject to availability.

We give priority to bookings of two nights or more between Friday & Sunday and during school half term holidays.  We do not charge a premium for any of our rooms and in order to try to accommodate everyone's requirements we do not guarantee specific room choices at busy times of year including weekends, summer and school half term holidays.

 

To confirm a booking we take a £50 deposit per room plus details of a valid credit or debit card. If you cancel at least seven days prior to your scheduled date of arrival your deposit will be returned in full. Cancellation within seven days will incur a charge equivalent to the full cost of the first night's bed & breakfast stay per room. We will make every effort to re-sell the accommodation and if we do so will refund all deposits and cancellation charges in full. (see below)

 

As we are only a small castle, we limit the size of non-exclusive group bookings at weekends and during school holidays to ten people so that guests who are not part of the party do not feel outnumbered.

But if you do want to take over the castle for your wedding or house party:

Exclusive hire terms from 1 March 2010

• The castle exclusively yours (no other guests, no non residents other than your own) for two nights to include accommodation for up to 28, afternoon tea, dinner & breakfast £12,600. A maximum 10 additional children under 12 can be included at no extra cost.
• Up to 18 additional non resident day guests are charged at £50 per head for the main wedding breakfast - a maximum of 46 guests in total (excluding chidren under 12).
• This includes all exclusive hire facility charges and everything necessary for a fully catered celebration except bar drinks and wine. Additional discretionary meals, canapes and celebration drinks are priced according to your requirements.
• There are no hidden extra costs for you to consider.

Exclusive hire bookings including a Saturday night must be for a minimum two night stay and are confirmed with a non refundable £500 deposit. (see below)

Payment may be made by debit card, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cash.

We only accept pre-payment by cheque a minimum of seven days prior to your arrival.

All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate (VAT No: 708 1134 64)

The contractual bit (we don't like it either but it is a necessity):

Non exclusive bookings are confirmed with a £50 deposit per room and are subject to a seven day cancellation charge equivalent to the full cost of the first night's stay. This will be charged to the payment card supplied at the time of booking and supply of such card details implies acceptance of these cancellation terms. We make every possible effort to re-let accommodation cancelled within this period, in which case no cancellation charge is payable. We cannot, however enter into any negotiation over cancellation charges levied against non arrival or early departure.

If we have to cancel your booking at any time prior to your scheduled date of arrival we will return all deposits received to you in full.

Exclusive hire of the castle includes accommodation, dinner & breakfast for up to 22 adults. There is no reduction for under occupancy. Further day guests are charged per head. An exclusive hire booking can be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable £500 deposit. Payment of the balance of the booking is due no later than 28 days prior to the event. Notice of cancellation can only be accepted in writing from the client who confirmed the original booking. Charges will apply to bookings cancelled within 60 days of the event.

No contract exists between us and suppliers of any third party activities ancilliary to the supply of accommodation, food & drink. We cannot supply any food or drink sourced by anybody but ourselves.

We are fully licensed and have a well stocked bar and wine cellar. Any alcoholic beverages consumed on the premises without our prior agreement will be subject to a corkage charge.
