There can surely be few things more magical than the idea of Christmas in a castle. This year, for the first time since the world went Covid-mad we are opening the castle for just that – a magical Christmas you won’t forget.
Enjoy a three day stay with all the food you could possibly want prepared for you with the same love you’d have at home but without the shopping, washing up or drama.
Imagine Christmas in an English castle. Roaring fires, Christmas trees soaring to the ceiling, tables groaning with festive food and, best of all, a genuine happy family atmosphere.

Arrive Christmas Eve for afternoon tea followed by an informal supper.
On Christmas Day there’ll be breakfast with Bucks Fizz and then time for you to do your own thing before sitting down to a gorgeous and leisurely Christmas lunch. e’ll be on hand all day to look after you, then in the evening we’ll lay on a selection of local delicacies and delights and there’ll be an honesty bar so you’ll have plenty to enjoy by a roaring fire or in the cosy comfort of your room.
Boxing Day will begin with a relaxed brunch, then the day to yourselves to explore the Lakes or Dales or do nothing at all. There’ll be a candlelit dinner to round off the celebrations.
Guests will depart after breakfast on 27 December having made new friends and lasting memories.
