In Our Castle Restaurant

The best local ingredients combined with flavours of the world
We love food and know it should be an important part of a stay at Augill.
We used to cook everything ourselves but now we have expanded our kitchen team, bringing new ideas to the castle to enable us to enhance our dining experience, delivering you more choice than our former set menu offering.
Our new chef Meg Davenport brings her international experience to the Eden valley and seeks to marry the best flavours and dishes from around the world with the finest local produce.
The castle sits at the centre of a small working estate where we raise cattle, sheep and pigs with the aim of producing our own meat, shortening the journey from field to fork.
The Music Room
Contemporary dining in a friendly informal setting
We’ve reinvented our dining experience – The Music Room at Augill, a gorgeous new restaurant in what was our original sitting room. No more communal dining as the world seems to have moved on from that!
We serve dinner Wednesday to Sunday and afternoon tea is bookable every day.
Look out for our Sunday evening special events which run throughout the year.
Afternoon tea is served daily.

The Great British Bar
An exciting and inspirational concept in bar keeping – a fiercely independent British bar showcasing the best of small British distillers, brewers and fermentors with everything from spirits to cider & beer to soft drinks & mixers sourced from independent, artisan British producers.
Of course we’re happy to embrace a few immigrants from overseas to enrich our selection because some things are just best made in other parts of the world.

Our Menus
Contemporary dining in a friendly informal setting
Our food is better than it’s ever been, using the best choice of freshly sourced produce from local farmers and suppliers who are as embedded in the local landscape and invested in the local economy as were are.
More than ever we are committed to supporting the people and places closest to us.
