The Music Room is our restaurant at Augill and our philosophy is simple, ‘to bring together flavours from around the world with the best local produce,  served in friendly, unstuffy surroundings ’.

Our menus change with the seasons and our food is cooked simply and without fuss in the friendliest atmosphere. It’s what we’ve always striven to do at Augill for twenty five years. 

We serve dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and  Saturdays. During the rest of the week we have a lighter residents’ supper options menu.

French onion tart, balsamic dressed rocket

Hot-smoked salmon, truffle, chilli, coriander slaw

Smoked Cumbrian chicken breast  – caramelised orange, endive, rocket, verjus

Pickled beetroot, goat cheese mousse, sourdough crouton


Marinated lamb chump – crispy kale, warm potato salad, fine beans, red onion, balsamic red onion jus

Loin of cod – white bean mash, spinach, white wine & butter sauce

Peppered fillet of pork – creamed potato, ratatouille

Baked fillet of salmon – herb crust, red pesto potatoes, tender stem brocolli

Braised supreme of Guinea fowl – pearl barley risotto, fennel, rocket

Wild mushroom arancini – chilli tomato sauce, watercress, parmesan crisp

Free range breast of chicken with lemon and cracked pepper – crispy chicken skin, hollandaise, crushed new potatoes, ribbon courgette


Lemon tart – raspberry sorbet

Vanilla panna cotta – fruit compote

Berry & beetroot brownie – vanilla ice cream, chocolate soil

Eton mess – raspberry puree, meringue, chantilly, shortbread crumb

Classic creme brûlée
