Discover the joy of calming and creative Calligraphy at Augill Castle with Mellor & Rose on our Christmas Calligraphy Workshop this November! Christmas a perfect time to pick up a pen and learn the art of Calligraphy to letter up your greetings cards, gift tags and notes to loved ones in our Calligraphy masterclass.
Guided by expert tutors; Lucy Mellor and Polly Mellor, you will begin by covering the fundamentals of how to hold the dip pen, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the signature script alphabet, how to link letters, festive first words and phrases.
You will learn how to draw festive decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy, ready to letter up your stationery items! The second half of the workshop covers how to lay out greeting cards, letter up and design a piece of wall art along with luxury stationery items of greetings card and gift tags.
