We might have said goodbye to Simon in our celebration of his incredible life, but we wanted to ensure that part of him lives on.
With that in mind, we’re planting a legacy orchard in the gardens of Augill Castle — a place he loved dearly, and where his spirit will always belong.
Simon had a deep love for trees — not just for their beauty, but for their purpose. He believed in trees that yielded, that gave, that fed. And so, in his memory, we’ll be planting apples, plums, cherries, and pears — fruiting trees that will nourish the land, our guests, and future generations.
This orchard will be a peaceful, giving space. A living tribute to a man who lived with quiet strength, generosity, and joy.
This orchard will be filled with plums, apples, cherries, and pears – fruiting trees that grow with purpose and generosity, just like Simon did. Each tree is a living tribute to a life well lived and much loved, offering shade, sustenance, and serenity for years to come.
By planting a tree, you’re helping to grow something lasting: a space to remember, reflect, and nourish. Your support will not only honour Simon’s memory but also contribute to the continued life and beauty of this special place.
