LAUGHTER IS INFECTIOUS – COMEDY IS BACK AT THE CASTLE THIS HALLOWEEN

Following our fantastic first Comedy in a Castle night we’re excited to announce the acts for 31 October and what a line up it is!

Entertaining you on the spookiest night of the year will be some more starts of the regular comedy circuit who are no strangers to TV but none have performed in a castle before!

The whole evening will be held together by our resident compere Chris Lumb. Chris really knows how to read and work a room and, quite frankly, is value for money all by himself.

Opening the show is Karen Bayley, finalist in the BBC New Comedy and Babycham Funny Women awards and the first ever female winner of the Comedy Store King Gong awards.

Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with.

Karen is a regular in established clubs across the UK and has previously supported Joe Lycett on his tour.

“Karen is one of the most consistently hilarious comedians I have had the pleasure of working with” – Joe Lycett

Next up will be David Smith who simply describes himself as Hull’s answer to Bridget Jones – self deprecating, warm and energetic with a pinch of council estate rough. His words, not ours!

“A real bouncy and energetic performance” – Notts Comedy Review

And our headline act is Brennan Reece, English Comedian of the Year in 2015 and a nominee for best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016. Brennan has been a regular on TV, including as host on Top Gear Extra Gear, has appeared on Live at the Apollo and has supported Joe Lycett and Rob Brydon on tour.

“Powerfully entertaining. An unstoppable force” – Chortle

“The perfect high” – The Sunday Times

So join us for an achingly entertaining night out.

Supper and comedy is £40 per person. We’ll have some comedy only tickets but numbers will be limited.

And if you fancy making a night of it, rooms will be available at the special price of £160 per double.
